Hello and welcome to Baby Sensory Dublin City & Northside!

Welcome to Baby Sensory Dublin City & Northside. My name is Ruth. In 2018 I was attending classes as a parent. I loved the classes so much I took the leap and started my own Baby Sensory Franchise. Running my own business has it's challenges however, I wouldn't change it. As my Granny would say, whats for you wont pass you!

You've probably landed on this page because maybe you were recommeded the class, or maybe you saw an advertisement on social media? Either way you are here & when you come to your first class you will never look back! I am yet to meet a parent who has regretted joining Baby Sensory Classes!

I pride myself on creating a non-judgemental, fun, enthusiastic environment to help you create wonderful memories with your baby. All the while giving you tips, tricks & some 'Parent Hacks' to have in your Parent Toolbox, to help you navigate your way through the most wonderful journey of your life - Parenthood!

Still wondering if you should join a class? Take a look at some of my FAQs...

Can I join even if the term has already started?

Yes, you are welcome to join the class mid-term, as long as there are spaces available.

What if my baby sleeps through the session?

Even if your baby sleeps through part of the session, brain scans have shown that newborns take in and process sounds, visual information and movement from the outside world while sleeping. So you can relax and enjoy the activities in the knowledge that your baby is still learning!

Why are sensory experiences important for brain growth?

Your newborn’s brain is about 25% of adult weight but by the end of the first year, it will have doubled in volume (50% growth). The most prolific period of brain growth occurs in the first 3 months of life. This is why is it so important to introduce your new baby to sights, colours, sounds, textures, movement activities and smells from birth.

Is my baby too young to start Baby Sensory?

No! Baby Sensory was designed exclusively for babies from birth in the knowledge that learning begins in the womb, that brain growth is most rapid in the first 3 months of life and that early sensory experiences play an important role in the whole development of the baby.

Every Baby Sensory session is delivered by a trained Practitioner who understands how you are feeling and your baby’s needs. And every session is baby-led so you can feel comfortable in attending to your baby's needs at any time.

Did you know that from birth your baby can:

  • Fixate on your face?

  • Use signs to communicate with you?

  • Turn toward the sound of your voice?

  • Calm to the sound of your voice or touch?

  • Follow the path of a slowly moving object?

  • Lie on their tummy and hold up their head for a few moments?

  • Move toward your smell?

  • Still when they hear music played in pregnancy?

  • Stick out their tongue when you stick out yours?

  • Be comforted by soft fabrics such as natural wool or silk?

  • See all colours?

  • Focus on objects held at 45 cm (18 inches) from their face?

Can I bring another adult to class?

Yes. We LOVE visitors! Mam, Dad, Granny, Grandad, Uncle, Aunty, those family friends we call Aunty’s but are not actually related? All are welcome. *Prior notice is required.

Can another adult bring my baby?

Yes. If it’s ok with the parents - it’s ok with me!
