Welcome to Baby Sensory North West

Gayle Mc Hugh

I first discovered Baby Sensory™ during my second pregnancy and instantly knew it was something special. During both pregnancies, I searched for baby and parent classes in Sligo — a space to meet other new parents, find little playdate buddies for my daughters, and set myself the challenge of getting both me and baby up and out each morning! When I came across Baby Sensory™, I was immediately drawn to its unique, research-based approach to early learning and sensory development. It wasn’t just another baby class — it was a carefully structured programme that encouraged babies to learn through exploration, connection, and play. My professional background is in education, where I’ve spent years delivering tutorial sessions to students around the world. Teaching has always been at the heart of what I do, and that passion naturally led me to broaden my expertise by studying early childhood learning and development. The more I learned, the more I realised how powerful the early months and years are in shaping a child’s lifelong love of learning. Bringing Baby Sensory™ to families in Sligo and Donegal feels like the perfect way to combine my love of education, my passion for helping parents, and my belief in the importance of early learning. I truly believe that every baby — and every parent or caregiver — should experience the magic, joy, and developmental benefits that Baby Sensory™ offers during those precious first 13 months. Each class is more than just playtime; it’s a foundation for early learning, bonding, and confidence, giving both baby and parent a chance to grow together. I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one to our Baby Sensory™ community soon and share in the laughter, learning, and wonder of your baby’s first year. Warmly, Gayle McHugh Class Leader, Baby Sensory North West (Sligo & Donegal)
